The Union River Lobster Pot Restaurant has announced that Samantha Eaton of Ellsworth has been promoted to dining room manager.
Eaton has worked at the restaurant for six years and studied under Brian Langley at the Hancock County Technical Center, graduating in 2008.
While at the center, she won the state gold medal in food and beverage service and traveled to Kansas City, Mo., to compete in the national SKILLS USA competition.
Eaton then entered Eastern Maine Community College and received an associate degree in business management in 2010.
