Minutemen Hold Off Eagles

BLUE HILL — A two-run single in the top of the sixth inning by Kyle McVey lifted the Stearns Minutemen to a 4-3 win over the George Stevens Academy Eagles on Tuesday.

Jordan Morrow struck out nine batters in the complete game win for the Minutemen and helped his own cause with a double and a single, scoring two runs.

Mariner Cheney singled twice and Harrison Vinall had an RBI single for the 1-2 Eagles.

Ben Olivari took the loss on the mound for GSA, striking out eight batters.
