SORRENTO — In high school tennis action Tuesday, the Deer Isle-Stonington Mariner boys downed the Sumner Tigers 4-1 and the Tiger girls beat the Mariners 3-1.
In boys’ action for the Mariners, it was Ole Bartos over Braden Wentworth 8-2 and Tim Cormier over Jarrod Jordan 8-0 and the Mariners won both doubles by forfeit.
Sumner’s Jason Smith edged Drew Siebert 8-6.
In girls’ action for Sumner, Lizzie Arey downed Sasha Zambrusky 8-4, Brianna Fernandez bested Kristen Davis 8-0 and Kiera Eschete defeated Megan Weed 8-4.
The Mariners won one doubles match by forfeit.
