ORLAND — WERU-FM Community Radio invites the public to a celebration of the station’s 24th birthday on Saturday, May 5, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The station is located on Route 1 in East Orland.
The party will feature live music, a used jewelry and accessories sale, face painting, WERU logo merchandise, station tours and a potluck.
Musical guests include the Downeast Fiddlers and the Machias Ukulele Orchestra.
While there is no entry fee to the celebration, donations and proceeds from the event will go toward the purchase of a new FM transmitter for the station.
The event will be held rain or shine.
