BROOKLIN — The Brooklin Inn will host a benefit dinner for NAMI Maine on Wednesday, May 2, at 6:30 p.m.
NAMI, the National Alliance for Mental Illness, operates crisis phone lines, trains police forces in crisis management, supports families of the mentally ill and is involved in many aspects of support and education for people struggling with mental illness.
Tim Sample, co-chairman of this year’s fund-raising campaign, will speak at the May 2 dinner.
The centerpiece of the NAMI fund-raising campaign is a walk around the back bay of Portland on Saturday, May 12.
