ELLSWORTH — Hospice Foundation of America’s 19th Annual Ethics and End-of-Life Care Conference will be presented on Wednesday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Ellsworth.
Hosted for regional participants by Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County, the annual educational event previously was presented as a teleconference and is now in a pre-recorded format, enhancing presentation capabilities.
This year’s program will address important issues related to ethics and end-of-life care including: Why should we look at ethics in end-of-life care? How do we decide ethical issues? Who decides ethical dilemmas? What should be decided?
As in years past, Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County will host a local presentation on this same topic in conjunction with the national program.
Tuition for the conference is $20 for the general public and $15 for hospice volunteers. Tuition includes lunch.
