BROOKSVILLE — There will be a public meeting of the Brooksville Historical Society on Wednesday, May 9, at 7 p.m. at the Brooksville Town House on Coastal Road.
The speaker will be Jon Johansen from Winterport. He will be speaking on the “Evolution of the Lobster Boat.”
There will be a PowerPoint presentation of the various builders and boat types, beginning with Will Frost in Jonesport, and going through the development of different types of boats and builders up to the present day.
Johansen has been the publisher and editor of the Maine Coastal News for 25 years, and is involved with lobster boat races each summer.
