ELLSWORTH — City Councilor Stephen Beathem is fed up with seeing trash dot local roads and he is inviting the public to get involved in cleanup efforts.
At an April 16 Council meeting, Beathem proposed initiating some sort of adopt-a-highway program and asked fellow city officials to devise a way for volunteers to dispose of collected trash.
Anyone interested in the program can contact Beathem at 667-5852 or the city at 667-2563.
