Narraguagus Names Honor Parts Students

HARRINGTON — Principal John Sawyer has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2012 at Narraguagus High School in Harrington. The valedictorian is Rachel Eaton, daughter of Royce and Joanna Eaton of Cherryfield. The salutatorian is Whitney Sargent, daughter of Stanley “Cappy” and Tina Sargent of Milbridge.

Eaton is a student mentor and a member of the National Honor Society, Math Team, Varsity Club and Drama Club. Among the many awards and honors that she has received are the Golden Apple Award, Maine Principal’s Award, Phi Beta Kappa Academic Achievement Award and numerous individual class awards.

Eaton has completed various types of service activities throughout the community. She plans to study chemical engineering in the fall.

Sargent is the secretary of the National Honor Society and a USCG Certified Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor. She has been a student mentor and attended the Husson Pharmacy Summer Camp. She has received the Golden Apple Award as well as numerous individual class awards.

Sargent plans to study pharmacy in the fall.

Kathryn Crowley, daughter of Keith “Ubbie” Crowley and Rebecca Skinner of Addison.

Haley Eckert, daughter of Ursula Kynnap of Harrington.

Jordan Endre, daughter of Glen “Boo” and Mary Endre of Cherryfield.

Katelyn Hartford, daughter of Brent and Beth Hartford of Milbridge.

Andrew Kennedy, son of James and Roberta “Bobby” Kennedy of Harrington.

Michael Larson, son of Valerie Carter of Harrington.

Charles Merchant, son of Charles Jr. and Tama Merchant of Addison.

Haley Toppin, daughter of Timothy and Lynne Toppin of Columbia Falls.

Graduation exercises will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, in the Charles F. Lawrence gymnasium.
