BLUE HILL — Author Janet Tashjian and her teenage son and illustrator Jake will talk about their latest books on Thursday, April 26, at 3:30 p.m. in the Blue Hill Public Library’s Howard Room.
Tashjian is the author of several books for young adults, including her newest title, “My Life as a Stuntboy.”
There is no charge, and all are welcome. Books will be available for sale and signing.
The library will also host a special program titled “Around the World in 30 Instruments” on Thursday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. with the husband-wife duo Four Shillings Short.
They will perform traditional music from Ireland, Scotland, England, other places in Europe, the Americas and India on 30 different instruments from around the world.
Artistic bookmaker Anne-Claude Cotty will conduct a bookmaking workshop for adults and children age 8 and up at the library on Saturday, April 28, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
A second workshop will be offered on Saturday, May 12, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
The library has also announced a special weekly music and movement program for infants and toddlers on Wednesdays.
Starting April 25 at 10:30 a.m., the sessions will be led by early childhood music educator Debora Reinke.
