Police said the woman told them the man lost his temper when she arrived to pick up their sons and asked for money because she forgot her checkbook at home.

A Birch Harbor man was issued a no trespass warning April 5, police said.

Police said the man was told to stay away from a South Gouldsboro residence.

Police said the woman was fine and the phone had been accidentally knocked off of its base.

Police said the man told them his neighbors’ dogs are often allowed to run loose, but he never actually saw them disturbing his refuse.

Racing Vehicles

Police were alerted to two vehicles racing on Route 1 from Steuben to Gouldsboro, but said they didn’t spot them.

Stand By

Police stood by April 4 until assistance arrived for a tractor-trailer truck operator whose vehicle became disabled near Route 1 and West Bay Road.

False Alarm

Police responded to a burglar alarm April 2 on Gouldsboro Point Road, but nothing was awry.

Police received a 911 hang-up call April 7 in the vicinity of Bartlett Hill Road, and, on April 4, from a cell phone connecting through the Allan Road Tower.

Police said there seemed to be no problem in either instance.
