SURRY — As part of Earth Day celebrations, the Surry Community Improvement Association (SCIA) is sponsoring a roadside cleanup on Saturday, April 21, from 9 a.m. to noon.
All residents of Surry are encouraged to participate in cleaning up roadside debris.
Participants should meet at the Surry School at 9, where they will be issued gloves and garbage bags, receive brief instruction and choose which area of Surry they wish to cover.
After the cleanup, everyone is invited to return to the school for a complimentary cookout.
