SOUTHWEST HARBOR — The Southwest Harbor Public Library has named Elise Palmer and Leslie Jones as artists of the month for April. Ms. Palmer, a watercolorist, exhibits her paintings throughout the library, and Ms. Jones, a jewelry designer, displays her work in the Holmes Room curio cabinet. The exhibit will be on display during the month of April.
Ms. Palmer has a background in textile conservation and is an accomplished needlework designer. Ms. Jones’ work has been featured in Maine Magazine and will appear in a summer issue of Vanity Fair.
The library is holding a raffle to benefit children’s programming for a choice of one of two pieces Leslie has donated. For more information, contact the library at 244-7065 or visit www.swharbor.lib.me.us.
