MOUNT DESERT — There will be no contested elections here this spring.
Martha Dudman, who was appointed to the board of selectmen last summer following the death of Sumner Rulon-Miller, is running for a full three-year term in the May 7 election. No one else has filed to run for the seat.
The two candidates for two seats on the Mount Desert school committee are Carolyn Pryor and incumbent Laura Hendricks. Three-term committee member Gail Marshall is not running for re-election.
Chuck Bucklin has no opposition in his bid for re-election to the high school trustees board.
