BAR HARBOR — The film “Priceless” which spotlights the growing cost of federal elections and calls for an end to corporate power will be shown on Wednesday, April 4, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the MDI YWCA, 36 Mount Desert Street, Bar Harbor.
Building on hundreds of events nationwide in January protesting the second anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission ruling, local residents will be hosting an organizing party to rein in corporate power. More than 100 events nationwide are designed to help build momentum for a resolution demanding a constitutional amendment to overturn the dangerous Citizens United decision and related cases, which have let unlimited corporate funds flood our elections, an event spokesman said.
After the showing there will be time for refreshments, informal conversation and a planning/organizing discussion about how to pass a resolution in Bar Harbor.
The event is being organized by Gary Friedmann. Call 288-5323 or e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.
