LAMOINE – One man is dead and three injured after an early morning shooting Sunday outside a home on the Douglas Highway, also known as Route 184.
Lawrence “Randy” Sinclair, 32, of Ellsworth died at Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC) in Bangor of injuries sustained in the shooting, according to state police spokesman Steve McCausland.
Another victim, Torrey Garland, 34, of Ellsworth is in life-threatening condition at EMMC.
Also being treated for less serious injuries at the Bangor hospital is Michael Carter, 30, of Lamoine.
The fourth man, Joshua McKinney, 25, of Ellsworth is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth.
The shooting, which occurred outside the home shared by Carter and Tacy Mullins, 22, was reported at 4:30 a.m. State police detectives have been at the scene conducting an investigation and expect to obtain a search warrant to collect evidence from the home.
McCausland said a fifth man, 24 year old Jacob Sinclair, was at the house at the time of the shooting but was not injured.
State police are planning a 2 p.m. press conference to update any information on this case.
