Society Announces Scholarships

FRANKLIN — The Franklin Historical Society is pleased to announce the availability of two scholarships.

The Sterling Douglas Scholarship is available to any senior high school student from Franklin. Applicant requirements may be obtained from the high school guidance department. Applications must be returned to: FHS Scholarship Chairman Irene Obermann, 106 South Bay Road, Franklin, ME 04634 no later than April 1.

The Henry Gemmill Scholarship is available to any student who is a Franklin resident and registering for post-freshman study at college. Applicant requirements may be obtained from any university guidance department, or by contacting the above name and address. Applications are due by April 15.
