BRUNSWICK — The Mount Desert Island High School girls’ swim team took second place in the State Class B championship meet at the Bowdoin College pool here Tuesday evening.

The Trojans, last year’s state champs, scored 285 points to finish 40 points behind winner Greely but well ahead of third-place Waynflete and fourth-place Catherine McAuley High School of Portland.

According to MDI Head Coach Tony DeMuro, his squad put in many impressive performances. “These girls are really awesome,” he said. “We swam well in every event.”
