BRUNSWICK — Keith Chandler of the Ellsworth Eagles won two individual titles and the Eagle boys placed fifth among 24 teams at Monday’s State Class B Swimming Championships at Bowdoin College.
The Mount Desert Island Trojans turned in a third place team finish and MDI swimmers also won two events.
The top five finishers were Greely with 386 points, followed by Belfast 254, MDI 217, Waterville 186 and Ellsworth 171.
Chandler’s wins came in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 53.97 seconds and the 100-yard butterfly in 52.59 seconds.
Winners for the Trojans were Ross Johnston with a time of 1:48.21 in the 200-yard freestyle and the foursome of Joseph Kief, Jason Carbone, Will Pearce and Johnston in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:32.72.
