Brown Joins 100 Win Club

BUCKSPORT — On Thursday, the Bucksport Golden Bucks posted lopsided wins over teams from Madison, Calais and Washington Academy.

On the mat for Bucksport in the 60-17 win over Madison, Matthew Stewart pinned Joshua Shull at 106 pounds, Lucas Ashmore pinned Jennifer Allen at 126 pounds, Jacob Stewart pinned Daniel Moreshead at 152 pounds, Jordan Fogg pinned Derrin Moreshead at 160 pounds, Powell pinned Matthew McLaughlin at 195 pounds and Damon Klinedinst pinned Marcus Berry at 285 pounds.

In head-to-head competition in the 54-24 win over the Raiders of Washington Academy for the Golden Bucks, Matthew Stewart pinned Michael Shaw at 105, Fogg pinned Anthony Solo at 160, Nicholas Bishop pinned Katerina Pacakova at 170 and Powell pinned Jihun Geehoon Kim at 195. Five other wins came via forfeits.

Against the undermanned Blue Devils in a 62-6 win, Matthew Stewart scored a decision of Nicholas Hallowell at 106, Brown pinned Gray-Kelly, Fogg pinned Trent Stevens at 160 and Klinedinst won a technical fall over Dalton Surles at 285.

Alex Brown pinned Zachary Gray-Kelly of the Calais Blue Devils in the 126-pound weight class for his 100th career win.
