Well, January has ended, which hopefully is not an indication as to how fast 2012 will go! Donna Abbott wants to let everyone know that a new exercise class started at the Franklin Community Center on Jan. 23.
Well, January has ended, which hopefully is not an indication as to how fast 2012 will go! Donna Abbott wants to let everyone know that a new exercise class started at the Franklin Community Center on Jan. 23.
It is called Easy Does It Zumba, which is a beginners Zumba, with verbal instruction at a slower pace and less intense movements. The 10:30 a.m. sessions are 40 minutes long followed by 15 to 20 minutes of strength training with Versa Tubes. The cost is $5 a class or you can sign up for seven weeks for $30 through RSU 24 Adult Education. You can do just the 40 minutes of Zumba or the whole class. It is up to each individual. The regular Zumba is still on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7 at the Franklin Community Building. Donna hope to have lots of folks come and have fun learning dance routines to Latin music, so grab a friend and just get moving! For more information, call Donna Abbott at 565-3361 or call the Adult Ed office at 422-4794. See you all there!
Congratulations to the Mountain View girls’ and boys’ basketball teams. Both teams have had great seasons, and are competing in the semifinals this week. If they win that game, the will compete for the RSU 24 championship title next week at Sumner.
Just a reminder that the Methodist Church ladies still have quite a few community cookbooks available. If you didn’t pick up your copy, please contact Judy Hooper at 565-2278.
