CASTINE — Martin Cleveland (Portland) recorded a 16-point, 10-assist double-double to lead Thomas College to a 79-50 win in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men's basketball action Thursday evening. Cleveland was one of three Terrirers (9-5, 6-3 NAC) to score in double figures in the wire-to-wire win over the Mariners (2-13, 1-8 NAC).

Cleveland set the tone in the opening minute, collecting a rebound off of a Mariners' miss, and then turned it into the game's first points at the other end. Cleveland shot 4-of-8 from the floor and 8-of-12 for the line to get his 16. He also recorded a pair of blocks, an assist and a steal. Jarrad DeVaughn (Brockton, Mass.) led all scorers with 19 points with a 7-of-12 night. He hit 3-of-5 from behind the arc and had six boards and a block. Stanley Greene (Dorchester, Mass.) dumped in a dozen points on a 4-of-6 effort from the field.

Thomas opened the game with a 9-2 run and pushed the lead into double-digits 13 minutes in. The Terriers extended the lead to 16, 35-19, by the half and cruised to their third win over Maine Maritime in as many meeting.

Maine Maritime got 11 points and a pair of assists from Benjamin Russell (Farmington). Shawn Dostie (Bowdoinham) posted a game-high 12 rebounds to go with eight points.
