HERMON — The Hermon Hawks held Ellsworth scoreless in overtime as they ended the Eagles’ unbeaten streak at seven games with a 47-43 win on Wednesday.

The Hawks rallied from a 28-23 halftime deficit to knot the score at 43-all at the end of regulation play.

In the overtime, Tyler Thayer hit a pull-up jumper and Joey Martin knocked down two foul shots to win it for the Hawks.

Thomas Sawyer was the lone double-figure scorer for the Eagles with 17 points, including a trio of three-pointers, and pulled down 10 rebounds. Nick Holt chipped in with eight points.

Thayer and Martin led Hermon with 13 points each.
