Lynx Avange Loss to Tigers

LINCOLN — The Mattanawcook Academy Lynx avenged an earlier loss and dealt the Sumner Tigers their first defeat of the season with a 60-50 win on Tuesday.

The Lynx held the Tigers to just two points in the second quarter, pulling away to a 16-point lead and then held off a late charge by the Tigers , hitting eight of 12 foul shots in the final period.

The 7-1 Tigers got 18 points from Tylor Martin and 14 from Gabe O’Brien.

Chase Vicaire led all scorers with 28 points for the 4-2 Lynx and Trysten Pelkey added 13.
