BAR HARBOR — The second annual Mount Desert Island Jingle Jog and Walk is set for Saturday. The 1-mile, noncompetitive jaunt starts near the Maine Sea Coast Mission at 127 West St. in Bar Harbor at 4 p.m. In lieu of an entry fee, participants are encouraged to take new unwrapped toys that will be donated to the Maine Seacoast Mission’s Christmas Program, which distributes toys to local children in need.

The MDI jingle jog route is entirely downtown and will end at the corner of Rodick and Cottage Streets. Participants are highly encouraged to wear holiday garb. Parking is available on West Street.

After the jog all participants are invited to meet and greet at the Thirsty Whale Tavern, at 40 Cottage Street for a holiday gathering. For more information visit facebook.com/crowathletics.
