Isabel Erickson, Olivia Erickson and Maggie Painter were all named to first-team all conference for their performance on the MDI cross-country team. Waylon Henggeler, Rachel McMinimy and Malia Demers were named second-team all conference. And William Fletcher was selected for first-team all conference for boys’ cross-country.
In football, Garrett Lee, Cameron Crawford, Linnea Erickson and Donny Hanson were awarded all-academic honors. Only senior students who have carried an average grade of 90 or better throughout their high school careers are eligible for this award.
Defensive tackle Lucas Murphy and linebacker Ezra Hallett were both selected as first-team all conference. Center Lucas Murphy, running back Jayson Burke and defensive back Donny Hanson were named to second-team all-conference.
Boys’ soccer players, Nick Shaw and Cai John won all-academic honors. Shaw was selected for first-team all-conference and John to second-team all conference.
For MDI girls’ soccer, Emily Dunbar, Paige Speight, Jennifer Kramp and Rebecca Petersen won all-academic honors. Hannah Shaw was chosen second-team all-conference.
Volleyball players Marina Gilpatrick, Hannah Tardif, Dylan Stillman, and Julia Christie were each awarded all-academic honors. Tardif and Christie also were selected for first-team honors along with India Ross. Marina Gilpatrick was selected for second-team all-conference and Abby Jewett received an honorable mention.
At the state level, volleyball all-academic state honors went to Marina Gilpatrick; Hannah Tardif and India Ross were selected for first-team all-conference, and Gilpatrick and Christie for second-team all-conference.
