Bitten by “Breaking Dawn”?

Written by  Letitia Baldwin Tuesday, November 01, 2011 at 10:17 am

ELLSWORTH — Fans of Stephenie Meyer’s fourth and final book in her “Twilight” vampire-romance series (which began with the best-selling novel “Twilight”) are counting the days to the midnight release on Nov. 18 of the movie “Breaking Dawn Part 1” at Maine Coast Cinemas in Ellsworth.

Taking its cue from the series’ popularity, Maine Coast Cinemas and the Ellsworth Public Library are teaming up and inviting teens to participate in two scavenger hunts — one online and another around Ellsworth — and to attend a Nov. 16 costume party at 6 p.m. to celebrate the film’s release. A pair of free tickets for opening weekend will be awarded to each of the hunts’ winners.

In The Ellsworth American’s Nov. 10 issue (Arts & Leisure section, Page 5), the newspaper will publish the first clue to the scavenger hunt around Ellsworth. The Ellsworth library already has a “Breaking Dawn” activity on its newly launched Facebook page for teens.
