BAR HARBOR — Irene Greene Murphy and Bill Murphy of Seal Cove and Gary Greene of Bar Harbor are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter Nicole to Bruce White, Jr., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce White, Sr. of Sebec.
Nicky is a 2004 graduate of Mount Desert Island High School and received her Bachelor of Arts in business from the University of Southern Maine in 2008. She is currently pursuing her MBA in entrepreneurship from Southern New Hampshire University. She is employed by the University of Southern Maine in the engineering department.
Bruce is a 2002 graduate of Foxcroft Academy. He attended the University of Southern Maine and went on to receive his HVAC Certification from Northeast Technical Institute. He is currently employed by Clark Corporation as an HVAC technician.
The couple met while at the University of Southern Maine. They have spent summers in Bar Harbor employed in the food service industry. They currently live in Portland, Maine.
The couple will be married on Aug. 25, 2012 at the Birches Resort in Rockwood, Maine.
