ELLSWORTH — The Ellsworth Eagles got off to a quick start against the Presque Isle Wildcats as Katey Curtis notched a goal less than four minutes into the game on Wednesday.
But it was all Presque Isle the rest of the way as the Wildcats got a pair of goals from Chelsea Nickerson and single tallies from Kayla Richards, Chandler Guerette and Megan Ireland en route to a 5-1 win.
Goalkeeper Meredith Stewart had three saves on six shots for the Wildcats, and Jessica Toothaker made three stops on 10 shots for the Eagles.
