MACHIAS — Maine Maritime Academy's golf team played to a draw with Maine-Machias on Tuesday. The match-play event was called with a pair of matches on the course because of persistent, heavy rain.
All of the matches were far enough along to be considered official. Dan Mackenzie lost 2 and 1 through 14 holes. Marc L. Cote lost 9 and 8. Keenan Eaton Halved his match through 13 holes, while Marcus Fenton won 9 and 8, then sealed the match by holing out from 120 yards away for birdie. Aldin Tome won by default.
The Mariners return to action this weekend at the North Atlantic Conference Championships.
