BAR HARBOR — The Ellsworth Eagles continued to roll on Friday, climbing into second place in the Eastern Maine Class B standings with a 2-0 shutout of the Mount Desert Island Trojans.
Nick Holt provided what proved to be the winning goal just 40 seconds into the game, and Maks Grover gave the 9-0 Eagles a cushion with another goal at the 8:30 mark of the second half.
The Eagle defense limited the Trojans to just seven shots and Ellsworth goalkeeper Thomas Sawyer finished with five saves.
Steve Hanscom had seven stops on 12 shots for the Trojans.
