BLUE HILL — “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” has been chosen to be the first book to be discussed by the newly forming Women’s Book Club meeting at the East Blue Hill Library.
The group will meet on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The provocative and historical book will be followed in November by “The Help” at a date and time to be determined.
The books will be available for purchase at the East Blue Hill Library.
The organizing chairman, Marjorie Longwood, encourages women in East Blue Hill and nearby to come to the newly renovated library for an opportunity to share with old friends and new neighbors in the area.
Anyone not wishing to drive at night and who would like a ride should call Longwood at 610-1377 and she will make arrangements.
