Trojans Upend Eagles

BLUE HILL — The Mount Desert Island Trojans rallied from a 2-2 tie to down the George Stevens Academy Eagles 5-2 on Wednesday.

Nick Shaw had a three-goal hat trick for the Trojans, including what proved to be the game-winner about 16 minutes into the second half.

Cai John also scored twice for MDI and Ian Sampson had an assist.

For GSA, Adam Hatch scored on an assist from Ben Eley and Ben Plohr scored on an assist from Philip Shaheen, both in the first half.

MDI goalkeeper Steve Hanscom made five saves on eight shots and Ben Olivari had 19 stops on 26 shots for GSA.
