FARMINGTON — Kayla Tuttle factored in on both goals as Maine-Farmington opened the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's soccer slate with a 2-0 win over Maine Maritime on Saturday.

The Beavers (2-1-1, 1-0 NAC) netted both goals in the first half. Tuttle set up the game-winner for Ava Amador in the 29th minute. Tuttle punched in on an unassisted effort 11:06 later to seal the day's scoring. Taylor O'Malley (Middletown, R.I.) stopped six shots working the first 62 minutes for the Mariners (0-6, 0-1 NAC). Kelsie Hilton (Monmouth, Maine) stopped eight shots working the balance in the second half.

Beth Lebel recorded two saves for the shutout.

The Mariners return to action next Sunday when Husson comes to Castine to close out Homecoming Weekend.
