DEER ISLE — The GSA defense limited the Mariners to just six shots and Eagle goalkeeper Ben Olivari made three saves in a 9-2 win over DI-Stonington on Wednesday in Deer Isle.
Ben Eley, Phil Shaheen and Anthony Bianco each scored a pair of goals for the Eagles and Ben Plohr, Alex Turanski and Mariner Cheney added single tallies.
For the Mariners, Nathan Davis had a goal and an assist, Kevin Melanio scored a goal and Patrick Duddy had an assist.
Hayden Torrey and Hayden Ciomei combined for 20 saves on 32 shots in goal for the Mariners.
