BUCKSPORT — The Ellsworth Eagles got a pair of goals from Annika Firestone and single tallies from Kaiti Kinney and Mackenzie Myers as they downed the Bucksport Golden Bucks 4-0 on Saturday in their soccer season opener.
The Eagles made the most of their nine shots, converting almost half of them to goals, as Bucksport goalkeeper Bailey Blair came up with stops on the remaining five.
Taylor White and Heather Holt recorded assists for the Eagles, and goalkeeper Jessica Toothaker got credit for the shutout, making six saves on as many shots.
