The seller was The First, which had purchased the incomplete development at a foreclosure sale March 22. The bank, which provided financing for the project, purchased it for $1.6 million, according to documents filed in the Hancock County Registry of Deeds.
Mark Kaufman, listed as trustee of the Mark Kaufman Trust, signed the deed on behalf of The Maine Event LLC. No representative of the buyer was available for comment Wednesday.
The property includes four subdivision lots, one condominium unit and nine condominium units described as “ready for completion.”
A total of nine Tinker Hill condos had been purchased. Those properties are not included in the transaction.
