BLUE HILL — In a doubleheader on Saturday against Bangor’s Motor City squad, Trenton Acadians pitchers were shelled for 26 hits in the two games.

In the 15-7 first game loss, Motor City jumped in front 3-0 in the second inning on a walk, an infield single, a sacrifice fly by Zak Kochis and run-scoring singles by Andrew Richardson and Ryan Carr.

Motor City added four more runs against Trenton righthander Nick Kane in the third inning on an RBI single by Phil Benoit, a two-run single by Carr and a Trenton error.

Chase Bickford’s three-run homer in the bottom of the third put the Acadians on the scoreboard.

But Motor City pushed the lead back to seven runs with three more in the fourth with Max Andrews’ two-run homer the big blow.

Trenton plated two more runs in the bottom of the inning, one on a run-scoring single by Kane.

In the fifth, back-to-back singles by Carr, Casey Estes and Sean O’Donnell loaded the bases for Motor City.

One run then scored on a sacrifice fly by Chris Hammond and another on a wild pitch.

Jesse Dow delivered a run-scoring single for Trenton in the bottom of the inning for the sixth Trenton run.

But Motor City pushed the lead to 15-6 in the top of the seventh on a two-run triple by Cody Cross and an RBI single by Benoit.

Andrew Giosia slammed a pinch-hit home run to cap the Acadians’ scoring in the seventh inning.

In the 9-2 second-game loss, Trenton’s Schuyler Van der Eb pitched four scoreless innings before Motor City pushed across nine runs in the last three innings.

O’Donnell had three singles and an RBI and Andrews contributed a double for Motor City.

Mike Crowley singled three times and drove in a run and Gabe Stearns had two singles for Trenton.
