Maine Swine Flu Cases Now at 10

Thursday, May 07, 2009 at 8:48 am

AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has identified three new cases of swine flu (H1N1) in the state.

The new cases include a child in Cumberland County and two adults — one in York County and the other in Kennebec County.

The totals thus far are four adults and one child in York County; three adults in Kennebec County; and one child each in Cumberland County and Penobscot County.

Dr. Dora Ann Mills, director of the Maine CDC, said the agency’s goal remains to slow the spread of swine flu in Maine by urging residents to practice recommended hygiene.
