CASTINE — Defending champion Castleton State College will be the top seed in the upcoming North Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse tournament after finishing regular season play with a perfect 7-0 mark. The Spartans (7-0 NAC, 9-6 overall) have earned a first round bye along with second seed Husson University (6-1 NAC, 7-9 overall).
Third seed Maine Maritime (5-2 NAC, 6-4) will welcome sixth seed Lyndon (2-5 NAC, 2-8) and fourth seed Thomas (4-3 NAC, 4-8) will host fifth seed University of Maine at Farmington (2-5, 4-6) in first round action Saturday.
First round games will be played Saturday, April 30 at the higher seed. First round winners will advance to a semifinal contest on Wednesday, May 4. Semifinal winners will meet Saturday, May 7 at the highest remaining seed. Game times are subject to change. The top six teams qualify for the NAC Championship. Predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.
