Ellsworth Cheerleader Champs

BANGOR — Two cheering squads from the Ellsworth Elementary-Middle School competed Friday in the James F. Doughty Cheering Invitational in Bangor and both came away with first place awards in their divisions.

The Ellsworth Falcon varsity squad (above) includes Morgan Barkhouse, Emily Bridges-Myrick, Mariah Brown, Briana Clark, Miranda Davis, Courtney Hall, Meranda Hanson, Madeline Hart, Katrina Hayward, Haley Lawrence, Julia Montague, Mackenzie Myers, Bailey Neale, Cheyenne Pelletier, Emma Sweeney and Taylor Wright.

Barkhouse and Myers also received individual Spirit Awards.

Also placing first in Division 2 was the Ellsworth Falcon "Fire" squad (below).

Team members include (front, from left) Piper Hardison, Vanessa Grey, Izzi Higgins, Kira Kennedy, Felicia Ridley and Whitney Saunders; (second row, from left) Julianne Vittum, Julia Littlefield, Katie Rossi, Mackayla Chattley and Sierra Firley; and (rear, from left) Mackenzie Wilson, Katherine Avery, Madison Young and Jennifer Miers.

Both squads are coached by Kelli Mitchell and Jane Stackpole.
