New England Football Writers Select Division II/III All-Stars

BOSTON, Mass. — Thirty-one players representing 21 different teams have been named to the 2010 New England Football Writers Division II/III All-New England team. MMA's own Jim Bower (South Paris) and Dan Weamer (Stamford, CT) were selected for this year's team.

Jim Bower was selcted to the team for the second year in a row after leading the nation in rushing for the second consecutive season. Bower rushed for 1906 yards and averaged a guady 173.3 yards per game. The senior fullback averaged 7.7 yards per carry and accumulated 20 touchdowns on the season.

Weamer makes the NEFW All-Star team for the first time. The senior center was recently named the NEFC Bogan Division Offensive Lineman of the Year after leading one of the most prolific running attacks in the nation. Weamer anchored an offensive line that helped the Mariners rush for 5,189 yards on the season and over 471 yards per contest.
