CASTINE — The Lyndon College men won their third consecutive men's cross country championship on Saturday in frigid, wet weather at Maine Maritime Academy. Maine Maritime's Matt Methot (Portland) wins Runner of the Year honors.
Matthew Methot was named to the NAC 1st team while Lucas Miller (Belfast) and Greg Baribault (Amston, CT) were both 2nd Team All-Conference selections.
Men's 8,000 meter: Lyndon College took home the team title with a team score of 22, and had six of the top eight runners in the meet. Taking home the medalist honors in the race was Maine Maritime's Matthew Methot (Portland) with a time of 26:14.62. Methot earned the NAC Runner of the Year honors with the victory. Finishing second in the race was Lyndon's Joshua Grant (Nashua, NH) in a time of 26:46.35. Lyndon's Michael Farmer (Colchester, VT) placed third while teammate Kenedi Hall (Hartland, VT) placed fourth and won the NAC Rookie of the Year honor with his time of 27:25.96. Castleton's Isaac French (St. Albans, VT) rounded out the top five with a time of 27:53.40.
