DEER ISLE — The Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners and the visiting Searsport Vikings each scored first-half goals, then played through two overtimes to a 1-1 tie on Friday.
Chelsea Brown scored on an assist from Britnie Jones to give the Mariners the lead at the 31:34 mark, but Bree Grant got the equalizer on an assist from Dana Cook with 17:18 to go in the period.
The Mariners outshot the Vikings 21-4, but Searsport goalkeeper Jessic Brideau came up with 13 saves and Haley Brewer had three for DI-Stonington.
