Driscoll and Fletcher Win Parker Pruett Middle School Cross-Country Meet

SULLIVAN — Tremont Consolidated School’s Caroline Driscoll, an eighth-grader, finished first for the girls in the in the Parker Pruett Middle School Cross-Country meet at Sumner High School on Monday.

Joining her in the top-10 finishers were her teammate Tia Menzietti, also an eighth-grader, who finished third; Emerson School’s Kirsten DiMauro, a seventh-grader, in fourth; and Pemetic School’s Sarah Phelps, an eighth-grader who finished eighth.

Pemetic eighth-grader William Fletcher finished first for the boys. Joining him in the top 10 were Trenton eighth-grader Jordan Harris in second, Mount Desert Elementary eighth-grader Carlo Keep in third, Trenton seventh-grader Dylan Harris in fourth and Mount Desert seventh-graders Zak Charette and Ryan Bender in sixth and seventh, respectively. Pemetic eighth-grader Ralph Magnani rounded out the top 10 in 10th place.

Overall, the Tremont Consolidated School girls’ team finished second. Members are Caroline Driscoll, Tia Menzietti, Julia Nelson, Maya Watras, Paige Murphy, Emma Watras and Kat Murphy. Emerson School from Bar Harbor finished third. Members of that team are Kirsten DiMauro, Sierra Tapley, Mia Strout, Sydney Wright, Chloe Vincenty, Kayla Ray and Gabrielle Link. And Pemetic’s team of Sarah Phelps, Sara Norberg, Jackie Higgins, Emma Strong, Maeve Geary, Lilly Anderson and Mariah Hamor came in fourth.

For the boys, Pemetic finished first behind its team of William Fletcher, Ralph Magnani, Sam Morris, Teddy Geary and James O'Donnell; while the Mount Desert Elementary boys’ team of Carlo Keep, Zak Charette, Ryan Bender, Peter Jones, Oliver King and Lucas Wood finished second; and Trenton’s Jordan Harris, Dylan Harris, Matthew Lambert, Riley Swanson and Yanni Roguski finished fifth.
