BUCKSPORT — On Tuesday, the Machias Bulldogs eked out a 3-2 win over the Bucksport Golden Bucks, rallying from a 2-0 deficit after dropping the first two games 25-19 and 25-12.
Machias then nipped the Golden Bucks with back-to-back 25-23 wins before closing out the match with a 15-12 win.
For Bucksport, Victoria Grindle was 21-for-23 serving with 5 aces and 7 digs; Jen Wight was 26-for-28 serving with 9 aces and 5 digs; Madison Porter was 11-for-12 serving with 7 digs and 6 assists; and Sara Malta had 3 kills.
