This Ladies Twilight League played the Jane McNabb Championship on Aug. 11. The net winners were: in fifth, Mary Smith with 37; fourth, Ann Lee with 36; Hope Lewis, third with 34; second was Tracy Hallett with 30; and first was Pearl Lewis with 29. Closest-to-the-pin winner was Mary Smith on hole six. She hit her shot 3 feet, 2 inches away from the pin.
On the Men’s ‘A’ side winners were: in third, Chuck Starr with +2; in second, Jon Nicholson with +3; and in first was Troy Lewis with +4 points. The ‘B’ side third was a very large tie, all shooting +1: Dennis Blanchard, Stan Boynton, Lucas Dunbar, Nat Fenton, Jack Gibbons, Rick Mooers and Skip Basso. In second place were Gary Adler and Jon Carter with +2. Finally, in first, Whitey Griffin won with +3 points.
Closest-to-the-pin winners this week were: on hole 6, Chris Schleif with 12 feet, 5 inches; on hole 9, Chuck Starr with 14 feet, 8 inches; and on hole 15, Ron Baracka with 12 fee, 7 inches.
In the McPheters Cup, pairings played on both Saturday and Sunday. This resulted in a final pairing which is slated to play on Saturday, Aug. 21. This came down to a duel between Ronnie Tibbetts and his son Dylan Tibbetts, who will play brothers Jeff and Robert Hall. It is all in the family.
