Pitbulls Attack Census Worker

DEER ISLE — Hancock County Sheriff’s deputies report that a U.S. Census worker was attacked by three pitbulls at a Little Deer Isle residence April 8.

 

Animal Control Officer Charles Berhalter and Memorial Ambulance arrived at the residence before police and got the situation under control, Deputy Shane Campbell said.

The worker was taken to Blue Hill Memorial Hospital for treatment. There is no word yet on the extent of the worker’s injuries.
