BUCKSPORT — By a slim three-stroke margin, 177-180, the Ellsworth Eagles kept their perfect record intact on Thursday as they edged the Bucksport Golden Bucks at the Bucksport Golf Club.
The Eagles improved to 6-0, thanks to a three-over-par medalist round of 40 by Greg Martin and sub-50 performances from three other golfers.
Following Martin were Brandan Albee 44, Josh Conroy 45, Nick Richie 48, Ross Saunders and Tad Linscott 60, Zach James 62 and Matt James 63.
For the 3-3 Golden Bucks, Billy DeRedin led the way with a round of 42, followed by James Potter 43, Michael Eastman 47, Brent Chaffee 48, Steve Kane 49, Ryan Bailey 51, Trevor Bowden 43 and Tyler Burrill 58.
