TRENTON — So far this season, the Ellsworth Eagle golfers have not met their equals.

Ellsworth upped its record to 5-0 on Tuesday with a resounding 163-282 win over the Sumner Tigers at the Bar Harbor Golf Course.

The Eagles got a medalist performance from Greg Martin, who got off to a slow start with a bogey on hole number one but went on to birdie the par-five number three and finish with a round of 39.

Josh Conary finished second at 40, recording five pars after starting with a double bogey, and Nick Richie and Brandan Albee had rounds of 42, making par on the final two holes.

Behind them were Tadd Linscott 50, Kevin Bryer 51, Ross Saunders 52, Zach James 54 and Matt James 65.

For 0-5 Sumner, Ricky Leighton led with 60, followed by Braden Wentworth 73, Erin Walsh and Vincent Ossanna 74, Mitchell Boone 75 and Kenny Tracey 77.
